Another thing you could do to get rid of cellulite is by making sure that your body stays hydrated. Make sure that you are drinking as much water as possible. The Dangers Of Cholesterol Lowering Drugs

Currently45 million Americans and millions more across the globe are currently taking cholesterol lowering drugs. Most dont know about the dangerous and preventable side effects these medications, also known as statin drugs, are associated with, in particular, damaging heart muscle function, the increased risk of developing diabetes, cognitive decline, and memory loss. These drugs also cause muscle damage, weakness and a breakdown of muscle fibers resulting in the release of muscle fiber contents into the bloodstream.

Statin drugs are highly toxic because they stop the cells from producing a key vitamin, CoQ10, which is the cause of the side effects. Relatively low doses of statin drugs dp effectively reduce plasma cholesterol levels. These drugs function by halt an enzyme that changes the chemical HMG-CoA to mevalonate, which is an early and rate-limiting step in cholesterol production. A branch of the cholesterol pathway in animal cells leads to the formation of CoQ10. Also, high levels of statin drugs can reduce CoQ10 in the liver and reduces blood at doses prescribed by physicians.

Unfortunately, most doctors are unaware of the cause of these complications, and could recommend taking CoQ10 supplements to their patients when prescribing these drugs. Pharmaceutical company even has a patent on the drug and CoQ10 combination, since but never released it. In 1989, Merck& Co., makers of lovastatin was awarded patent #4,933,165.

The patent notes that Coenzyme Q10 is a component in the respiratory chain and is present in every cell having mitochondria. It is thus an essential co-factor in the generation of metabolic energy and is particularly critical in muscle function.

Researchers, have measured the levels of Coenzyme Q10 in heart tissue biopsy samples taken from patients with varying stages of damage to the heart muscle. These researchers observed decreasing tissue levels of CoQ10 with increasing severity of the symptoms of cardiac disease. Unfortunately, the FDA doesnt warn consumers of this dangerous and reversible side effect.There are no official warnings in the U.S. regarding CoQ10.

Compared to the U.S., Canadian law requires labeling and clearly warns of CoQ10 depletion and even notes that this nutrient deficiency "could lead to impaired cardiac function in patients with borderline congestive heart failure."

Four Years of Intermittent Fasting

2010 is my 4th year of intermittent fasting (IF). Ever since 2006 when I kicked off my ‘belated’ fasting program, I love my new lifestyle. I have found a long term lasting and easy way to eat and stay healthy. I plan on feeling this great for the rest of my life!

Historic Eating Problem
My story all began with my historic eating problem which date back to 1989. This problem started bothering me soon after I turned 30. Perhaps due to slow metabolism, but no one could explain the reason. There has been a serious conflict between my natural desire for food and my body’s saying ‘no’. However I have been pleasing my mouth, and ignoring my body’s refusal of food. So my stomach is always full to overload like an airborne balloon. In March 2006, just before I turn 50, I took an important step in my life as to change my eating habit.

Lose Weight As A Result of Fasting

Actually over the past 20 years, doctors, dietitians and friends suggested hundreds of ways to correct my problem. Somehow I found only one way work for me – fasting. At the beginning, I went on a 6-day juice fasting. I lost six pounds out of that. And most of these six pounds were shed off from my belly fat. Over the course of the next six months, I lost a total of 20 pounds. My body weight has been stable since then. Fasting had greatly improved my appearance and made me feel great.

The Magic of Intermittent Fasting
At the beginning, I was thinking that I could resume my normal three-meal-day after the initial juice fasting. But I was wrong. The miracle feeling told me that ‘Anna, don’t look back; look forward, you’ve found the right way to eat!’ The feeling was just like I’ve been temporary disabled and got fully recovered. I would never want to be disabled again. As a matter of fact, I don’t really need that much food to survive. However I cannot give up food forever, so I target for one meal a day, just to balance my psychological and physical need of food. There marked the beginning of my intermittent fasting program.

I set up a food diary to record my eating history and at a later stage set up a food blog to record what I eat. On average, I skip 18 to 23 meals in a month as in some cases I cannot avoid eating due to business and personal social commitments. In some days, I replace a meal by snacks, a fruit or a glass of juice.

Overcoming Fasting Hurdle
Talking about my fasting experience, the most challenging bit was the first two days of juice fasting. I need strong determination to suppress my natural desire for food. I told myself its time to do something towards a better quality of life as I have been suffering for 17 years. From the third day onward, the feeling was really good. Though it was a bit tired but I still continued with my morning calisthenics and midday workout. These two sessions of daily exercise has been part of my life. Even now, I’m still doing them without breakfast and lunch and I’m still energetic enough to deal with my daily work.

While practicing intermittent fasting, the other hurdle to overcome is on the social side. I have to alert people of my change in eating habit and that they need to reserve my diary in advance, in case they want to eat with me. Luckily I have my family members’ and friends’ support by respecting my new eating habit. Food wise, I don’t really have any restriction. I just eat as usually, except not as frequent as before.

One meal every 24 hour is just good enough to keep me healthy and energetic. Unlike other weight loss program asking people to focus on low carb, low calorie, fat burning, ab exercising etc. intermittent fasting enables me to lose weight naturally and gradually. It is not an overnight weight loss program, but a long term lasting health program. Now dont get me wrong. It wouldnt be an abs program if I didnt show you the most effective exercises for developing your abdominals. I also give you detailed instructions and photos on how to do them right. But like I said, the main focus of this program is the secret method that I use to compile the full body training routines and maximize your fat burning effect.
This is the main reason that this program will be much more effective for you than any other abs programs youve ever tried before. Youve got my word on that.
2. This program uses none of your typical boring monotonous cardio routines.
In fact, you dont have to do any typical cardio if you dont want to! I actually recommend against it.
Seriously, almost every program out there tells you that you must do endless cardio exercise regularly to lose the body fat that is covering your abs. Most of them tell you to do 30-60 minutes of cardio exercise 3-4 days/week in addition to your strength training routines.
The truth is that this is not only unnecessary, but it can actually be counterproductive if youre really trying to get as lean as possible, as quick as possible. I go into this in much more detail in the book, but basically this all comes back to the aspects of your metabolic rate, how much lean muscle you have, the hormonal response in your body from the exercise, and the residual calorie burn in the hours and days following your workouts. And normal boring cardio routines are all wrong when it comes to maximizing these effects!
Now youre probably thinking that since Im against typical boring cardio routines, then that must simply mean Im a proponent of interval training. Yes, as a matter of fact, I believe interval training is MUCH better than typical cardio.
However, I also use a special exercise combination and sequencing in my Truth about Six Pack Abs Program that gets even more powerful fat loss and muscle defining results than interval training. And thats saying something, because interval training kicks butt! Youll find out how this system works inside the program.
Want proof that you dont need typical long-duration steady-pace cardio?
Well, first of all, I actually took a course recently that was devoted to scientific research into why steady-pace cardio exercise is actually not that effective at strengthening the heart. The focus of the research basically boiled down to the fact that the heart needs to be trained in a wide variety of ranges to actually be truly strengthened and ready for all the various stresses that life throws at it. Not only that, but steady-pace cardio was also proven in the research studies to be far less effective in the long term at reducing body fat stores.
To give you a real life example... Personally, I havent done what most people would label "cardio" in probably well over 5 years, and Im actually leaner now and have a lower bodyfat % now than years ago when I did cardio regularly. Not only that, but my heart is in the best condition ever, as I now consistently have the resting heart rate of an elite athlete at about 50 bpm (remember that lower is better). My resting heart rate used to be in the mid to upper 60s years ago when I used to do typical cardio and strength training routines like most people do.
This improvement in both body fat % and reduced resting heart rate is the direct result of the unique training methods I used in developing the programs in The Truth about Six Pack Abs.
3. This program does NOT revolve around having to use supplements or "fat-loss" pills.
Trust me when I say that for the most part, about 95% of supplements are a complete waste of your hard earned money. Ive been approached by supplement companies in the past
looking for me to promote their products for them, and offering me a lot of money to do so. Well, you know what I do? I tell them to shove it! Seriously, I wont promote something to my readers that I dont honestly believe in.
The fact is, Ive learned over the years through my own experience, as well as hundreds of my clients and friends experiences with supplements, that they are really just selling you the dream that their pill or powder will be some "magical" solution to your struggle with getting that lean ripped body that youve been wanting for years. In reality, most supplements do nothing at all to help you improve your body.
Dont get me wrong... Im not totally bashing supplement companies, but like I said, about 95% of the products they promote are worthless, and wont create any noticeable changes in your body. I will admit that there can be a place for meal replacements for people that cant find the time to prepare or pack all of their real food meals. But the fact is that real food is always better for you than processed supplements (as long as you pick the right "real foods"). Anybody that tells you otherwise has either been brainwashed by all of the propaganda and super-hyped up ads that the supplement companies have spread throughout every magazine on the planet, or they have financial ties to selling supplements in some way themselves.
I have dedicated myself to not being lured into the lucrative world of selling supplements. Even though I could make a lot more money selling supplements than by selling my abs program, its just plain against my morals to rip people off like that.
Frankly, it amazes me that most people are more willing to spend $30, $40, even $50 or more on a bottle of pills or powder than to spend $30 on a comprehensive training and nutrition guide like this Truth about Six Pack Abs program, which will set them up for life on training programs and dietary secrets that will keep them lean and ripped for life. The only thing that bottle of pills or powder is going to do is give you expensive urine! You make the choice.
4. This program does not revolve around using any fancy "ab machines" or "ab gadgets".
In case you were suckered into buying any of these worthless ab belts, loungers, rockers, or any other worthless ab gadget or machine, I have bad news... You were ripped off!
The truth is that most of these machines and gadgets are not the best way to develop the abdominal muscles. Sure, some of them may help a tiny bit with strengthening the abdominals, but they are far less effective than some of the best floor, hanging, and standing abs exercises.

The great thing is that once you start eating balanced and healthy all the time, you virtually eliminate cravings altogether. It had to be more than 5 years ago... no joke!

Advanced Workouts For Not Only Abs and Core, but Full Body





I received a question today from a Sergeant who was looking for high intensity workouts with some work for abs, core, and full body to take his team of 30+ soldiers to a new level of fitness in preparation for their PT testing.
He basically said that the men had reached a plateau in their training and needed something really high intensity to take them to the next level.
My response is below...Keep in mind that this workout I gave him uses bodyweight-only exercises, however, it is VERY intense and for people looking for advanced fitness levels.
With that said, keep in mind that if youre not yet at an advanced level, you can still use this by simply using the basic format of the workout, and just do less of whatever exercises you struggle with, or choose an easier alternate exercise thats similar.
Here goes...
"Hi J****. To get your soldiers to that next level in their workouts, were going to keep the intensity super high here and use the whole body. Keep rest periods short, and use full-body multijoint movements as much as possible.
Ill give you a killer workout idea below that not only incorporates abs and entire core, but the entire body as well in an intense fashion. Not sure what (if any) equip you have available, so Ill give you a great workout thats bodyweight based. Heres an example to take your men through:
Start with a 2-3 min warmup of light jogging, jumping jacks, or jump rope.
Then, move through these exercises in circuit fashion, one right after the other with only 10 seconds rest between each (repeat the circuit 3-5 times for a killer total body workout):
1. bodyweight squats - 12 reps
2. plyo pushups (clapping) - 10 reps
3. walking lunges up 6 steps and back 6 steps
4. floor mountain climbers for 30 seconds
5. lunge jumps - 6 reps to each side
6. lying leg thrusts (abs) on floor - 12 reps
7. squat jumps - 8 reps
8. side plank hold 30 seconds one side, then 30 sec opposite side
Rest 2 min after each circuit; repeat circuit 3-5x
If that doesnt get them through the plateau and ready for the next PT test, nothing will!

Its not surprising that someone would want to lose weight extremely fast, like dropping ten or twelve pounds in a week or so. A big wedding coming up or an important job interview... there are many reasons why someone would want to do it but there are health reasons why you shouldnt, and instead consider a natural weight loss supplement over drugs.

The problem with this speed shredding way of thinking is that most of the time youll be looking at either an unhealthy fad diet or worse, drugs. Yes, there are a lot of tempting pharmaceutical products out there with big promises of losing weight really fast but dont forget about the list of potentially dangerous side effects all of these drugs carry along with them.

Deep down we all realize that the best and safest way of losing weight is to stay with a healthy diet and get some regular exercise a few times a week. Ah, but who can live like this... we want the fat off right now!
What happens during an extreme dieting period, whether using drugs or a fad type of diet is that youll be either starving yourself or tricking your mind into believing you are not hungry (this is what most drugs do to your brain).

If you want to speed up the weight loss process you must get some exercise in regularly, and it doesnt need to be going to a gym. You can simply walk more, start jogging or running lightly up and down the stairs.

Almost everyone has varying degrees of excess body fat in the abdominal region, and the best way to burn off that extra stomach fat continues to elude most.
The problem is that most people are searching for the wrong exercises and workout types to lose stubborn belly fat. Most people are searching for some miraculous combination of abs exercises combined into the best ab workout ever invented that will burn off their belly fat faster than you can read this article.
Unfortunately, ab-specific workouts do NOT burn fat off of your belly. They only tone and strengthen the underlying abdominal muscles. What you really need to focus on is a full body strategic workout that will cause a much greater metabolic rate increase and fat-burning hormonal response from your training program as a whole.
In addition, simply doing cardiovascular workouts will not necessarily create the greatest metabolic response or hormonal response either. What you really need is a much more rounded training program that focuses on training the entire body with resistance training and multi-joint exercises in a higher intensity fashion.
This type of high intensity full body training combined with a healthy balanced diet full of nutrient density on a regular basis, is the real key secret to losing the extra stomach fat that covers up the abs. This is a much better plan of attack than just trying to do ab workouts and hoping that just doing a bunch of ab exercises like crunches and leg raises are going to make you lose your belly fat.
The amazing thing is that the majority of the population still believes that in order to get rid of belly fat, you need to do ab workouts every day using hundreds of reps. I see people giving this type of erroneous advice every day on all of the fitness forums. Please do not waste your time with this type of advice!
Now before you say "how can an abs expert not recommend abdominal exercises", realize that I do strongly believe that a certain amount of ab-specific exercises mixed into your routines are beneficial. Ab exercises will help you strengthen and tone the abdominal muscles and are useful for other purposes such as a healthy back and posture when done correctly. But the fact remains that ab exercises are not necessary for fat loss.
A much smarter full body resistance training routine and a clean healthy balanced diet are the most important factors. Many of the full body exercises also indirectly work the abdominals and core due to the stabilization required in some of the more difficult variations.
